I'll admit to watching it too Hoochie (Although not as much as I did) 

I used to watch it too........although that Klingon was a bit a pain

 I love Star Trek ....when I feel down I put some on .....they're just like family

I loved the original series back in the day for its action and fantasy plots - not literally back in the day, I'm not that old but have been disappointed with The Next Generation, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise.  They're boring.  Sorry Trekkies, but they are, Lots of people have said this, but they did suffer from hack scripts by Brannan Bragga and Rick Berman who spread ideas thinly because they made so many episodes.

I think most episodes are just unwatchable.

Cardboard cut out characters, lame soap opera story lines and ideas spread horrendously thin.  Every time Picard or the Voyager lot were in trouble they'd just say made up technobabble like, "what if we create an anti-polarisation tacheon phase disrupter emitter and reroute the anti-matter quark field dampener through the anti-grav temporal modulator inducer - then we might have a chance!"  Then there were characters like Nelix and his drippy girlfriend and the aliens with different styles of bumpy foreheads. 

Picture is lovely...but who the hell are they Hoochie? 

The pdf's won't open for me.

So I've no idea who any one is.

Not that I know who anyone is anyway!

I love Star Trek - I've found some episodes thought provoking - some cringeworthy, and some just hit some of my buttons ( usually ones featuring Picard)

I've never watched Star Trek, I looked at the pic up there ^^^ which meant nothing as I didn't know the names of the characters!  

I've now worked out;

Commander William Riker = MUF

Lieutenant Commander Data= Ducky

Dr. Beverley Crusher= Pengy

Counsellor Deanna Troi= Dame Ann

Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge= Syd

Lieutenant Worf = Rosgirl

Ensign Ro Laren = James

There's no Guinan/Whoopi Goldberg in that pic^^^ Who is playing that part? 

And there is a Borg Queen Pengy who isn't in the list of characters???

And is anyone Captain Jean Luc Picard?

Oh and I can't see Secret Clue no. 1, it's just a blue ? on my screen (not that I imagine it would help me at all!)

there is no Jean Luc Picard character - he is just referred to as for Borg Queen Pengy (myself) there's no character either of that name - I just wanted to beat Muffles Ensign sig

Hoochie,(or anyone else!) As a novice to MM can I ask some general question about how the game works please?

I assume that each of the players has a script/brief that they're disclosing facts from?

Does the 'thief' have to be one of the 8 characters or could it be someone else on board?

If the thief is one of the characters, do they, themselves, know that they the thief at this stage and are concealing it or do they not find out until the end themselves? If so are they allowed to lie? Do the others have to tell the truth?

Oh, and are the other characters who are mentioned by the players: (Dr. Rhom Eulan, Trope, Shuttle Chief Frath, Chief O'Brien, Chief Woo,) all part of the player's scripts or are they 'made up'/artistic licence?
