who does she really think she is fooling?
i did it when i was a student...so did loads of other people
it's quite a sensible thing to do, everything is wrapped up in plastic and the bins are clean not like household ones. The ones who did ate a lot better than those who didn't

Maybe I am being unfair DS. I know that there are people who do that and there is a case for doing it.... BUT why is it that I find it hard to believe her?

oh no its making me feel a bit funny thinking about it. even if its clean it must have the smell of a thousand mingled foods.

bits must fall out and mangle in a smelly soup deep down in the bowls of the bin, surely.
I knew some people who did this and I went with them one night. It's quite eye opening what you can get out of the bins behind Morrison's. I'm afraid I'm too much of a wimp though, I was bricking myself that night and wouldn't do it again.

no, i'm not In fact she reminds me of someone who shared the same house...very middle class wannabee "down wid da real people" type
He used to get as much as he can from the bins and then just let it rot in the house, instead of just taking what he needed and leaving some for others ....selfish twonk

Nope. Not if it's pre-packed. And they are emptied every day so there is no chance of decay.
You really can fill your bags for free with stuff that was in the chiller a couple of hours earlier.

I can totally understand you...i was ewwwwww at people first, then i went along and saw how clean and how much waste was thrown away, and it just makes sense.it was mostly lovely expensive ready meals in their boxes all put in carrier bags with the tops tied up, or vegetables all sealed in their plastic bags. and you knew what time it would be binned so it was only in there for about 5 minutes before it was taken.
ooops sorry double post
