Clare Balding did a good job during the Olympics. Knew her subject and asked suitable questions. There are plenty more annoying on TV than her.
It has to be said that Channel 4's roster of intensely annoying arse holes (recent past and present) beats every other station hands down.
Kirsty, Phil, Davina, Beany, Gok Wan, Alan Carr, Jamie Oliver, Noel Edmonds, Ramsay, Moyles, McCririck and that's before starting on T4!

Given their (the Beeb's) bad investments, i.e. Toss, Brucie, Dawson, Littlewood etc., it's actually quite nice to see someone who has a fully functioning brain.
It did take me a while to warm to her though.
I'm a big fan too! Her partner wrote the best Guardian family article last year by a long chalk. They are both extremely witty.
