I agree with the sentiments about Sarah and Suranne. Surely it's only a matter of time before Sally Wainwright produces a series showcasing the acting talents of Dev.

We live in hope, GJ       I really enjoyed Happy Valley - haven't watched Prey yet

Really?  What did she leave half way through - the only ongoing drama I can think of her being in is Last Tango.   Most things she does seem to be one offs.   I loved her in 'All the small things' too - I wish they'd make another run of that.

She was born into it since her Dad wrote for the Street. Her husband indeed is a TV Producer, however the reason she has had success is because she is a superb actress.

It's amazing how hard women have to work to achieve recognition, without it being suggested that it's other bugger's efforts. Very often I'm "minding" Mrs Jer at conferences, meetings, or whatever, and still remain astounded at the attitude towards her. (Not that I'm suggesting my wife is as talented as Sarah Lancashire)
One notes zB, that butt-ugly Russell Crowe, with his unfortunate manner, did not remain in Neighbours. (I am suggesting that Mrs Jer has a nicer attitude than the NZ arschloch though but)

honestly I really can't recall anymore. .I think it was two series I was following a good few yrs back that she left after the first series when she had bedded in as a character..  I know I put her on my list of do not watch if these people are in it or get invested in their character as they will leave if it is a series that keeps getting commissioned. . Amanda Burton is another of those on my 'watch but ignore their character cos they will leave anyway' list

I know there are a few others that do the same thing too... but my brain is like a collander lately so I can't recall who they are..

I do understand serious actors like to chop and change for a varied experience but I hate if they go into a serial drama then disappear out of it.. maybe it's just me not liking change very much ..
