Peter Dyke: ‘Wicked’ eye coming soon

The Daily Star’s long-serving Big Brother reporter,Peter Dyke, has hinted that the iconic eye for this year’s series will soon be revealed.

In a post on his Twitter account, Dyke wrote:

‘This is Big Brother: Eye spy with my little eye… something “wicked” this way comes very soon.’

Dyke has been a member of the Daily Star’s Big Brother since the show launched at the turn of the millennium, so his words are sure to hold a lot of weight. It is still unclear as to whether the new eye will be a Daniel Eatock creation.

However, ten days ago he tweeted ‘To all BB fans. Some BB news coming very soon… “Big Brother house this is XXXXXXX …. I’m coming to get you” !!!!!!’, alluding to a potential presenter announcement which never materialised. The only rumoured name that fits is ‘Myleene’ Klass. Make of that what you will.

With Mr Dyke’s proven track record as a Big Brother reporter spanning over a decade, his words cannot be discounted. But his definition of ‘soon’, it would appear, certainly can. With this in mind, we’re keeping an eye out – but not holding out too much hope.

The series is due to launch in around six weeks.

Is that when CBB starts? When does the 'actual' one begin? And do you know who is in it???

Wonder who they will get. I will probably have heard of less than 1% of them but I hope it's a good mix.

My fave CBB was the one with Maggot, Preston etc in it. That was an absolute cracker.

I love the celeb BB better than the other one. Im always glued to it, especially after watching Michael Barrymore, and Amanda Holden's ex, ermm Les Dennis lol

Its on longer than usual, The celebrity one, 4 weeks i think this time or near abouts.

I forgot all about BB.No live feed,well I think you need to pay etc, bit like last year on CH4.

T4 presenter lined up as CBB host?

Recent reports in The Daily Star claim that Alice Levine, a host of T4, is a possible candidate to land the presenting job for Channel 5′s new series of Big Brother.

Alice, who has fronted MTV’s Celebrity Bites and T4′s Pop Up Pop Quiz, has also rapped with N-Dubz and will be the “perfect candidate” to “grill celebs” this year.

Alex told the Daily Star newspaper, which is also owned by Channel 5′s Richard Desmond, that she would love to interrogate an American movie star when Big Brother comes to Channel 5 next month.

She is quoted as saying: “My dream interviewee would be someone starry like a big Hollywood name. But I’d be really star-struck by someone I admire, like Steve Coogan or Ricky Gervais.”

A source is quoted by the newspaper: “She says she’s not afraid to be nosy and that’s exactly what the fans would like.”

Other possible presenters for the new series include last year’s BBLB co-host Emma Willis, or UBB champion Brian Dowling.

Celebrity Big Brother will return this August on Channel 5, followed by the 12th series of Big Brother

as long as we get some intelligence as well I don't mind. And I understand favouritism but I hope that it can be kept to a minimum within the interviewers this year & in years to come. Because it becomes a little sickening

I like the celeb version more as we already sort of know them and watching them break down is such fun Micheal Barrymore was good too watch that year as well, wasn't he stealing cigs off George Galaway and who could forget *the cat* scene *shudder*
