The British film director Nicolas Roeg has died, he was 90.
His best known films as director were Performance, Walkabout, Don't Look Now and The Man Who Fell to Earth.
He was originally a camera operator then cinematographer before moving to being a director. Films included the Corman "Masque of the Red Death" and Truffaut's Farenheit 451. He also worked on Lawrence of Arabia and on Doctor Zhivago before falling out with David Lean.
