Yellow Rose, I use Firefox and haven't had the problems you have been having. This suggests your browser may have an add on or plug in which is causing the problem.

You may need to go through the add ons and plug ins you have in Firefox (Addons from the Tools menu in XP /Firefox button non-XP). See which ones are enabled. Then systematically go through each enabled one in turn, disable it, try to see if the problem is still there or has gone, re-enable it if the problem hasn't gone away, and try the next one.

Your could do a Google search:

http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en...p;fp=dc263884026814f

and have a look at the results to see if any of these give a clue.

Or try using a different browser.

Hi, thanks for replying. After posting last night the problem continued so I looked in Help under the heading "Error happens when accessing certain websites" it said this.

If the error happens only on a specific website, you can block scripts from running on that website. Many sites still function even if scripting is disabled.

Install the YesScript extension and restart Firefox.
Open the Firefox window, click the Tools menu and select Add-ons.
In the dialog that comes up, click on the YesScript entry.
    ClickOptions.
In the YesScript Blacklist dialog, type the URL of the site that's giving you problems in the text box.
Click Add. The domain name of the site will be added to the list.

Now that the problematic site has been blocked from running scripts, it will no longer cause unresponsive script warnings.

I'm wary of installing the download suggested in case it affects other online activity. As the problem only happens here I'm cautious of making any changes to the pc. After the recent changes here maybe it's related to that and one of the tech staff could check out the "scripting" on the page as it's frustrating to keep getting the message.

Yellow Rose, I've just had a look at the two postings you made on that thread and in both cases, the latter part of the post cannot be seen. I've looked at it in both Firefox and Internet Explorer with the same result. Mrs H has posted saying that she can see the full post when trying to quote but when she posts the quoted reply, that last bit vanishes again. Very very odd.

I'm going to let the tech guys at Social Strata know this to see if they can work out what is happening. I doubt if they will come back before tomorrow though.

Oh thanks very much for doing that El Loro as the problems are increasing. I saw Mrs H reply and have replied back, don't know if it can be seen though, or even this one lol.

Yellow Rose, I've now posted on the Social Strata help forum and have provided links to this thread and also your post on the other thread. I can see that your post there is missing the last bit, and that is the case in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. I've asked them to post back here but you may want to keep an eye out on the Social Strata pages to see what they post there.

Hi Yellow Rose,

The issue with your posts not appearing fully is caused by the fact that some of the contents of your post body have a div with class="clear" on it. This is the problem. If you remove class="clear" that will solve it. To do so, you'll need to use the "HTML" button in the WYSIWYG editor to view the source of your post. Then, anywhere that you see this:

<div class="clear">

replace it with this:

<div>

That should fix it.

I'm guessing this happened due to how you may have been copying & pasting HTML into your post body.

Hope that helps,

Brian

Hi Brian thanks for replying, can't say I really understand all the HTML stuff but that particular problem could have arisen because I used c&p that had a Twitter link.

The other bigger problem I've had for around 3 days is the constant error messages re "Unresponsive Script" Whichever choice I make doesn't solve the problem. I posted about the problem up above and hopefully it can resolved

Yellow Rose

Yellow Rose, as you can see Brian has got an answer as to how to sort out the vanishing text. The HTML button is right at the end of the row of icons in the Post Reply box. If you click that you get to lots of lines of text, no graphics at all, Look through the lines for instances of the div class = class and delete it just to show the div in the < and > brackets. Then click Update at the bottom. You'll come back to the Post Reply box and then submit reply as normal.

If you haven't checked on that Social Strata link yet, Brian has posted a reply there asking for more info from you. So have a look at see if you can post a reply back to him there. It is possible you may be already set up as a member there so just log in there as you would here, otherwise you will need to register there before you can reply.

Hi, how strange I've never had an HTML issue before or had to use that button. I'll c&p your advice into a doc to refer back to, thanks. I've never visited Strata before so guess I'll have to join. I'll try to add as much info as I can to give to Brian to see how the issue can be resolved...hopefully I don't have to do anything too complicated or techy Thanks again.

Kaytee, click on

www.hoo.do

and sign in as you would here. You will be able to access your wall, blog etc from the resulting page.

Lori, if you click on the link you provided (amended to your ID of course) it seems as if there is a bug. I get this error message:

Error: Error

The page you requested is not available. Reference ID: 286284906004467140[1162924615][-1624170886]TUR-15USERPROFILES.r15750.b252-gp01.ps003

The links to your home page and other pages seem OK, it's just the top page.
