The very first howler I can remember seeing was many years ago when the BBC showed Clive of India (made in 1935 starring Ronald Colman). I was only a youngster at the time but I remember a battle scene involving elephants being ridden by the soldiers. Within moments there was a clip in the scene which was an exact repeat of an earlier scene.

I have never attempted to re-see this film because it was dreadful.

Tonight in Casualty when two junior doctors were in a car following another doctor on a motorbike, the road had lines in the middle in some shots and no lines in others and it kept alternating between the two.  Also a couple of years ago in Casualty there was a drug addict apparently dead on the toilet but I'd recorded it and kept rewinding it to see her open her eyes - the first time of watching it I thought she was actually supposed to be alive in the storyline and couldn't quite believe it when she was "dead"!
