HBO has begun production in Belfast of Game of Thrones based on George R.R. Martin's award winning fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire.  Filming is due to take place in Northern Ireland in the last week of October and first two weeks of November.

Apparently, they urgently require CONFIDENT & EXPERIENCED MALE HORSERIDERS, aged 16-60.

(I have heard rumors that women who can rock a fake beard may also be considered.)

Indeed I do!

From the information I have,  that's exactly what's happening.

If the series moves forward, the BBC will be providing some of the financing.

The good news that's related to this is that at the time of this writing all of the actors (with the exception of Peter Dinklage) are from the UK.

They're producing it at Paint Hall, and NI is giving them a great deal if they keep most of the production crew from the area.
