I've got a static caravan in Wales. Keep putting off going because I hate the sound of the rain on the roof, it drives me potty. Weird because as a kid I used to love the sound of rain on the tent. 
Its been awful hasn't it.

Not been that bad? It was thunder and lightening where I am this morning and chucking it down all morning. Our grass is about 3 feet long because its never dry enough to mow!

we did the same, got loads of camping stuff so we could nip off to the hills when we felt like it. we could've got a cottage for a week with what we've spent.
