it was a terrible time soozy...................

if i remember it was a chilly day....i logged onto c4 and there it was.....the announcement that the bb forum was closing for good......i was horrified.........there were grown men in tears........women took to knitting like they did in the days of the gallows.........it was awful....

the dark day was nearly upon us when suddenly..........a fm named bovrilking came to our rescue.............he got in touch with eve communities and said..'look here.there's a load of us bb fans about to be forum-less.....we're cool..we're witty..infact we're the bestest hot diggidy f'm's about......find us a home please!!.......(ok i made that bit up)!!

and so we shifted to a support forum and within days we were packing our bags once more to gagajoy.......and then onto here........

and i still remember the last ever post on gbbf.........was rzb an it said..'they think it's all over,it is now'......

i really am that sad i remember that sort of thing........

Bovrilking was my guide.
I felt the need to seek reassurance from my fellow travellers from time to time. (I didn't want anyopne to go astray.)
For example I remember checking with Blizzie that she was the same person as Bizzie Lizzie.
Her confirmation made me feel better.
Not an easy settling down period.
But I love it.
I think we are well looked after (as well as caring for each other.)
I do have to remind myself now and again that people do move on. They may die, emigrate, change their interestsm get fed up. Because we stay, it doesn't mean everyone will.
I hate to think some have got lost though.

Yes .................I found it hard at first. Unfortunately I aired my doubts openly and consequently some took against me. I actually (for the most part) love it here now. It feels a bit like home.

It bothers me though how we can possibl;y attract new FM's (which I do feel we need) ......................I think it's an obscure title that we have. Not everyone here is a Ch4 refugee ............I simply can't imagine how they ended up here.

BB10 was just a couple of months away... and we were homeless! Several sites were mentioned as potential refuge - and many FM's were never to be seen again, sadly.

Digital Spy was not an option for me as i had been life banned the previous summer and TIBB simply didn't appeal to me. I recall joining something called Groupee on eve communities towards the end of April 2009 - and then joining GaGa just a few days later. I cannot recall if the 2 were somehow linked - i think they may have been.

And getting smaller Prom.  On C4 there were often 1000 logged in during the show. Many either never came here or they have left.  Natural wastage is a forum shrinker.  Unless new people join the place will become a drifting ghost ship .  Perhaps it is already.

To answer the OP. "Who cares"?
And perhaps add.
"But you are welcome and we all hope you stay".

Well I do care ...................not hugely - it's really no big deal but I just wondered if some people just stumbled across this forum and chose to join us, It seems not .......................it's a shame really cos this forum seems to shrink by the day.

Oh sorry sooz - yes, I am a C4 refugee.

I think the forum is getting smaller by the day because (a)BB has finished and (b) Gaga/Hoopla/Whoever didn't optimise the forum to attract new members - and why should we expect them to? It clearly wasn't what they wanted.

Also FB must have had an effect on the forumming world surely? There seems to be lots of ex forummers who prefer to FB exclusively now
