thanks for all the comments re my Dad everyone - not worrying unduly, because this happened before and he was like a new man again almost overnight.  Mind you - they said '2 days' when he went in in Jan... and it was nearly April when he got home!

that was waiting for home care to be set up for him though - so hopefully they mean it this time.  Poor old soul.

Yes , home care can take a while sometimes !

It was actually the hospital holding things up - the care is quite quick to arrange here at the moment.   Once we bared the teeth and started kicking arse we had him home in a week and a half.    Hospital was a hell hole - that's my biggest worry tonight that he ends up back there (local geriartic place - he's been taken to the 'proper' hospital tonight, hopefully he'll come straight home from there)

Val is a maverick and does not play by the rules. Authority and convention are temporary inconveniences to be swatted aside. She will press on like a force of nature. She will prevail at any cost.

are you drunk?

I was wondering what he'd been smoking

Drunk on the all encompassing aura emanating from the television screen. I feel energised, stronger, more virile thanks to the supreme energy produced by the mighty woman that is VAL.
