Well, it is even clearer, after tonight's show, that she does not remember saying anything about crab eyes to Crab Eyes.

If we take into account that he didn't confront her at the time, but waited about six hours to have a word about it, and that she has no way of proving, or disproving, what she thinks she didn't say, then maybe lying about BB confirming her non-memory was a last ditch attempt to shut Crab Eyes up about it, and make him think about confronting others in the house, who actually do call Crab Eyes 'Crab Eyes' on a regular basis.
