It's really strange weather for June, it's like late autumn up here. Cold, dark and windy.

well there's this man who makes a point of giving weather forecasts.  He has predicted correctly for the last 7 years what the British weather will be unlike the met office   in February he predicted that we would have one week of good weather in June but June and practically all of July would be a wash out with lots of floods.  He does however predict that August will be scorching so watch this space
