It't not even the grounds that are the problem in some cases; it's the transport infrastructure and conditions around the stadia that are causing fixtures to be off on Elf and Safety grounds.
I couldn't believe that Arsenal waited until nearly 4pm until deciding to cancel the Bolton match on Wednesday. It was obvious from the early morning that it couldn't go ahead.

....I was pleased to read  Arsenal refunded the transport costs to the Bolton fans who made the trip down midweek, nice touch, if the report is correct.

I bet the argument for a winter break comes up again this weekend.

Another bloody game called off... we must be going for the record for the most games in hand...

Liverpool have asked for Sunday's match with Tottenham to be postponed, I'll expect most games to be call off Disley, Mind you, it's not said if Liverpool's request has been granted.

Coyle Is Back

OWEN COYLE has today been appointed manager of Bolton Wanderers Football Club.

The former Wanderers striker will take immediate charge of first team affairs ahead of next Sunday's Barclays Premier League fixture against Arsenal at the Reebok Stadium.

Chairman Phil Gartside said: "Owen was our number one target and we are naturally delighted that he has returned to the football club as Manager.

"He was an inspirational player who leads by example and a great motivator, and on behalf of everyone at Bolton Wanderers, I would like to say welcome home."

Owen Coyle said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be back at Bolton Wanderers. I look forward to the opportunity of bringing the good times back to the club for everyone."

Went to town earlier and the snow has dried up but sludgey there where as outside our house there is still lots of it there.

City said club officials have spoken with Adebayor and that he was unharmed, though shaken by the terrible events.

I'm almost central London & we've had it constantly since Tuesday, we had it heavy preChristmas as well,  Looks like it's going to continue into next week as well, Maybe it's just as well we didn't get to the semifinal of the Carling Cup this time round.
