It't not even the grounds that are the problem in some cases; it's the transport infrastructure and conditions around the stadia that are causing fixtures to be off on Elf and Safety grounds.
I couldn't believe that Arsenal waited until nearly 4pm until deciding to cancel the Bolton match on Wednesday. It was obvious from the early morning that it couldn't go ahead.
Coyle Is Back
OWEN COYLE has today been appointed manager of Bolton Wanderers Football Club.
The former Wanderers striker will take immediate charge of first team affairs ahead of next Sunday's Barclays Premier League fixture against Arsenal at the Reebok Stadium.
Chairman Phil Gartside said: "Owen was our number one target and we are naturally delighted that he has returned to the football club as Manager.
"He was an inspirational player who leads by example and a great motivator, and on behalf of everyone at Bolton Wanderers, I would like to say welcome home."
Owen Coyle said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be back at Bolton Wanderers. I look forward to the opportunity of bringing the good times back to the club for everyone."
Several players are in a bad way apparently...

R.I.P, my thoughts are with his family and friends.
5 fixtures off even more disruption.
Went to town earlier and the snow has dried up but sludgey there where as outside our house there is still lots of it there.

Cardiff 1 Blackpool 0- Mark Hudson.
Good on that fan.
aah well, i would have happily taken a draw at the start of the match (especially after the first match of the season!)
I see it as a point gained for the blues Barney,
late goals are swings and roundabouts, they seem to even out.
Afternoon Footy Folk.
yes, as i say, before the game we would have happily taken the point .. but considering the way we played i am being greedy and wanted all 3
Did Donovan play Barns?, i'm sure he will show Moyes and the Everton faithful he was worth taking a risk on.
unless an away game is rearranged inbetween.
Papers stop need to talking rubbish about Vidic he's injured and from what i've seen seems happy and hasn't actually said he wants to leave and spoken out a lot to correct it but who knows these days...
My dad was gutted WBA lost I was told not to mention the result. My uncle is happy being a Forest fan.
he was subbed midway through the second half - promising play and looking forward to seeing how he does in the next 10 weeks
we only had 1 afternoon of snow too jeeez
Glad Birminghams pitch is ok, it had dried up by us yesterday but now it snowed again earlier and it's sooo dark.
Lots of re-arranged fixtures bet the FA are running around like headless chickens.
Liverpool council has been getting loads of grief about the lack of gritting - in fact, they had to borrow some grit from our council
