as long as they all leave the boss alone and let him run the techinical side as he sees fit then it'll be ok.
, they wouldn't dare get rid of him or they would have the wrath of lots of Gooners to deal with.
Hi dan, sorry FB is still creaky . When you click on 'Transfers' on the right hand menu, below where it displays your current team, it will say :"You can make 1 (or yours may say 2) free transfer(s) this gameweek. Each additional transfer will deduct 4 points from your total and head to head score" If you don't make a transfer one week, it will carry-over to the following week, so you can make 2 free ones the following week. It doesnt carry over more than 2 though. Hope that helps!
I say again. If they are going to invite foreign teams to the detriment of ours then at least invite the best.
For us non and lower league types its the FA cup this weekend.Course for some the campaign began back in the summer.Great to see a little side like Oxford city get here.Shame they got rewarded with an away trip to Burton Albion tho.None of the glory and a swift exit.Still,it was good to get so far.
Court of Arbritration for Sport has agreed to suspend Chelski's transfer ban so they will be able to buy players in January transfer window.
it could have been worse...you could have drew us We played Burton last week...tough game. We've got Aldershot in the cup- we only played them a couple of weeks ago...for some reason when we play them it's always end-to-end stuff. Hope we get through, we always need the cash!
lol you had me going then...that's not the proper Bury...that's Bury Town, the imposters lol
Mahoosive game for the reds on Sunday eh Darlo gonna be very tough with The Drog battering ram against our shakey defence!
All the players will have to be at the top of their game, the defence in particular. Vida will be back but even he hasn't been as solid as last season. It will be a right game, got a feeling we might lose but you got to keep the faith also.
I liked the fact Man United help Bury out (bury's less than 10 miles from manchester) from time to time, they even used to use Gigg Lane for reserve matches which helped Bury out financially. Although I've not yet quite forgiven Paul Parker describing our admitedly muddy pitch 'Pig Lane'
What a load of shite... how can they say best supported when its chosen on average attendance
More like most glory supporters.... and then to top it off yoonited have so called fans who don't even live up north
I'd bet that there are lots of fans of big clubs that have never seen them play live
i think the days of supporting your local team are quite rare....if that team are in the lower divisions.....with televised football on virtually all the time.......kids see more of utd, arsenal, liverpool, chelsea etc etc.......and they then support them...
local kids round our way imagine themselves to be ryan giggs or stevie gerrard when they're out playing football with their mates....not steve fletcher of bournemouth
tis just the way football's gone
I shall be hoping for a draw for you and Man U on Sunday - with several sendings off for both sides
Nowt personal you understand
Bet Mr Spongey is well happy with Bournemouth this season especially with their transfer ban, they are doing really well.
Course if they had Chelseas money I bet they could get that ban overturned
yep mr sponge is well happy.......since steady eddie took over in january he's performed near miracles at the court....this time last year they were still on minus points and on the brink of going out of business...somehow he got them out of it last season..........and this season has been a surprise to everyone...
Evening, most clubs are going to have fans who are not from the area where the club in particular is based. Most important thing is that you pick a team stick by them no matter what, maybe things like cost etc come into it if you can't make the match and have to watch on TV but it is true that kids these days are more into the top 4 teams.
Supporting a local team is great though, a sense of pride. I'm not the only United fan in my family so it was kinda inevitable really what would happen.
unfortunately money is a big factor...even to watch b'mth you're looking at around 20 quid a ticket.......now for say a family of 4 to go that's 80 quid....plus programmes,food etc...you're looking at a ton easily..
Credit crunch, when will it ever end.
It's more like a business, the money that the club makes they will use the money for whatever but people pay to watch because they love the ''beautiful'' game.
and football's been a business for a good many years now...it's not for the fans anymore.......hence these trips to far flung places.....all to generate interest and more money
Yep footie is expensive Spongey. I watch the Arsenal babies (reserves) which is free and the Ladies which is 3quid a game. I really only go to the Emirates when it is cheap unless the ticket is a gift which happens about half a dozen times a year.
The Ladies play their home games at Borehamwood and it is a shitehole, yet they charge 12 quid for adults and 6 quid for kids to watch Borehamwood FC and I have no idea what division they are even in.
They should pay people to attend matches there. Our Ladies are having to play their CL home matches in the afternoon as UEFA say that the floodlights aren't up to standard for an evening match!
Right guys I'm off to watch TV and get on with the jacket I'm knitting for the grandson's first birthday at the end of November - where does the time go.
Spongey I meant to ask you if you got the all clear at your check up, we never seem to be around at the same time for me to ask.
Hope everything is ok
I haven't forgotten that I should knit you an ickle JT to hang on your bed hahaha
Right I am deffo off now
xxx
Good luck Spongey. I've missed our debates on here a lot you know ha ha.
darlo......me too..........cos we both get stuck in and have a good ol debate........but at the end there's no hard feelings and we're still mates...
ferdinand out i hear for the game on sunday?...everyone seems to think it's a good time to play you.....i don't.....like a wounded animal you're going to fight....going to be a tough match
Yeah Ferdinand is out thats disappointing but it's a team effort so whoever steps in will do a good job. We're the underdogs as you guys are really fancied to win, it means more pressure but I won't lie I am worried slightly.
Who cares what he thinks of us, he should keep his nose out and worry about Liverpool instead he's not smiling at the moment even though they did beat us. He got owned by Jeff anyway but he did have a point about Benitez but if they win Brum some of their fans, not all will think he's great again after moaning about him again.
