Mmmmm, maybe Rashford should have been on a shade earlier?

I doubt that would have made any difference!

We will never know. But he did provide some impetus to a team bereft of any ideas, and actually created down the line. A bit extra time may have provided the ball we needed. But to be fair, Iceland did what they do and we had no answer. Good luck to them.

Bit of different movement maybe, but it just seemed to be going round in circles really'

Yep! This is exactly how I worried it'd go all week...If someone in the England camp had taken four and a half hours to watch the the Iceland games...yadyadyada..

It's time for Harte to go. Not worthy of the England shirt

Good Job Hogson has gone. Never rated him

So, give me an alternative?

I couldn't name an Englisman off the top of my head. Says a lot doesn't it?

Doesn't have to be an Englishman

In that case, Iceland's manager

Maybe take the lead from Ireland and have a nice manager with a hard nut ex player as enforcer assistant? They wouldn't have played like that if they knew Roy Keane was waiting for them in the dressing room

Stuart Pearce maybe ?

Good idea but can't see the FA going down that route tbh Rog

Mentioned so far have been Gareth Southgate and Arsene Wenger

A lot of people on our footy site have put forward the idea of just picking players from the Championship and down over. It sounds a good idea to me.

Well, they couldn't be much worse than this lot Joe

We suggested it because we thought they would be better! Those Iceland lads play in the Championship!

Good luck Wales and Amy/Rog

It's a tough ask - he says mimicking a paid football pundit

A tall order when you rely so heavily on one man your talisman.

I have to say that although that might have been expected of Wales, it really doesn't seem to have been the case in practise. For example, Aaron Ramsey had a terrific game against Russia, IMO.

It was a bit tongue in cheek, but there is a large dollop of truth in it. Barring about three players they lack the quality.

They can defend alright as we have just seen, but keep that up and Belgium are through.
