Finally managed to make sense of my Euro 2016 Wall Chart, and I see that France, Germany, Spain and England are all now in the same half of the knockout tournament - and Portugal and Belgium may be thrown in with that lot too...

I'm pretty sure it's all academic now. Given what I have seen of England so far. our biggest problem seems to be putting away the chances we create and we are not overly shy at conceding.

It's looking like Portugal.

Well, we now know Portugal finished 3rd, so their "side" of the draw is still in question, but England have been drawn against Iceland for the next round.

I can't remember who it was, but I saw some "pundit" write online that "we" (i.e. England) were lucky not to have to face a "major" threat, and I couldn't help thinking: "I bet the Icelandic team are saying the same thing..."

I was watching the Hungary v Port game and heard the final draw. I think Iceland is going to be pretty tough and we will be lucky to get past them as they seem well up for this tournament.

Knew it... Wales have been getting better as the match goes on

Very true: it's taken a while, but they've increasingly looked dangerous.

Bale's been dominating things too: although not officially on the score sheet yet...

Bale really is brilliant  I'm glad for him... the Real Madrid fans were horrible to him for ages. Now he's in front of his real fans !

I'd be happy with Wales winning  they're a better team.  It would be great to see more of Gareth Bale in the tournament too.

I've been following ROI since Big Jack's days and I lived in Dublin so long they feel more like my team. Tomorow is another day.

Ah yes, France v ROI tomorrow: that's going to be a big one!

Must remember to get some chores done early so I've got the afternoon free.

Trying this out today...

Lumping ÂĢ100 on France to go through today at 1/5, returning ÂĢ120.

Then lumping that ÂĢ120 on Germany to go through past Slovakia at 1/5, returning ÂĢ144.

Then lumping that ÂĢ144 on Belgium to get through past Hungary  at 1/3, returning ÂĢ191.52.

Then funally lumping that ÂĢ191.52 on England to get through past Iceland at 1/5, returning ÂĢ229.82.

Leaving me with a profit of ÂĢ129.82 tomorrow night. They are all dead certs aren't they? It can't fail can it?? I could get better odds by backing the 90min results, but I reckon one or two may go to extra time.

You are a brave man. I could buy just over 15 blu-rays for that money.

I agree about the likelihood of ET for some, I think you're OK with the 1st 2, 3rd match could be dicey and if England go to penalties I think you've lost!

Best of luck!

At some point we have to win a penalty shoot-out!

Law of averages is just a myth!

Unless you happen to believe it
