It doesn't add up on several levels. But seriously, The Sun?

Of course. My mum was a single parent who moved into my gran's council house with me when her marriage to my dad (who I never saw again) broke down.

It's a wonder I'm neither in jail, parent to a feral tribe nor living on benefits, alcopops and chicken nuggets, really.

You just haven't been caught yet! Glance

That's right. No-one's bothered enough to investigate. Too much trouble to get past all the rusting cars on the front yard or the pitbulls, Satan and Asteroth.

Andy Mc-bloody-Nab. It's not even his real name. Since when is some anonymous author of crap books suddenly an authority on "broken Britain"?

of course they dont!
but a fair majority of them do-so if youre gonna make that kind of statement you have to include everyone who's kid is making other peoples lives a misery
so what should we do with the kids whose parents own their own property?
cos i seriously believe the only way to clamp down on these little shits is to come down heavy on their parents
nothing else is working

or am i wrong..?
again.. Laugh

ps-my answer would be to take away the kids luxury (sp) items ie games consoles, phones etc and IF they still played up, remove the parents luxury items
sky tv, phones, large LCD tv's etc..

or is that against human rights..?

ie..my kid can make your life a living nightmare-but you cant blame me..?

i dunno
charmer
if this country has got any chance of reclaiming the country back from the feral (sp)youth and the feral parents (and lets face it-nowadays its a case of kids giving birth to kids)
i suggest we get a petition going and send it to 10 d(r)owning street
saying
'if your kids play up..
we WILL piss on their playstaions-and we'll break in your house to do it'
and if it causes them misery..?
so what!
let 'em know what its like to be upset when someone violates you Angry

Unfortunately a vast majority of them do - that however is not to say that all people living in council houses are bad parents - that is not the case!!

How is that a generalisation???

It is a fact that the levels of anti social behaviour on council estates is higher than other areas - obv like with everything there are exceptions to that rule but on the whole the council esatates are the worst hit!!

dont get me wrong, i've have smacked (before i knew my son has an ASD), and i have been smacked...i've also been beaten so know the difference...i was brought up to see smacking as the only way of punishing.
but to clout someone round the ear only tells kids that if you are stressed/anxious/angry...it is ok to inflict pain on someone

my son started doing it when he felt troubled...which was alot. so i nipped it in the bud and went to some parenting classes instead...learnt how to manage behaviour a bit better. some of it worked (some didn't till i learnt he had a an ASD and went to parenting classes for that). rewards...or taking something away they like as a punishment worked much better than smacking his bum ever did....not to mention me smacking him scared him (still gets scared when i shout Frowner)

I can honestly say I have never hit my 4 kids, I have wanted to and by god they deserved it! but together, me and OH have a good way of calming each other down and manage to actually talk to them, which believe me bores them to bloody tears, and they eventually realise they are not going to get what they want. I too was smacked, and my parents still say that my kids could do with a good hiding, in my books its ignorance. What is so right about an adult hitting a child, a feeling of power! or just plain stupidity. A friend of mine has had her daughter taken into care because of her destructive nature, and believe me the father has beaten her, her other 3 kids and my friend. Violence does lead to more violence, that's all some of these kids know. (they don't live in a council house btw).

Well done hoobs for realising the problem, shame there are not more like you in this awful world.
