Good morning Darnies

Another Bank Holiday Monday rolls around. Rain later night and early this morning. But  the sun has just burst through

I wonder how long that will last

Plastering finished last Tuesday. Gas fire to be re-installed tomorrow, 12 days after it was first removed

Have a lovely day friends

Good morning all happy bank holiday!

Apologies for suddenly churchilling last night, I just couldn't keep my eyes open!

Aw moonie, I hate that it's been a messy, dragged out couple of weeks for you is the gas fire the last of it?

Hi Sweet

Well, the last of it?

It seems we have a problem with the floor in the same front room

It seems there is a little "movement" in the floor by the entrance into the front room. So the carpet has to come up so we can see if there is a problem and how bad it could be. The flood is concrete screeding which was put down in all the downstairs rooms and hall when we was modernised some 30 odd years ago

Good job the carpet was due for renewal when the room was re-decorated after the fire fiasco

So the last of it?

Doubtful methinks

Moonie

Bazzy, I have found another psychological drama on The iPlayer on radio 4. Ten episodes so that is probably then whole story.

It's the Book at Bedtime and it's called...Into The Water. I am on episode 2 currently. It's sounding good

Also...

A drama by Wilkie Collins called...No Name...yet to listen to that. It's on Radio 4 extra

Mr B is a hoarder ....but I've confined him to the garage ...which is stuffed from floor to ceiling

That's fine, it's one place, his place and you can ensure the rest of the place is fine. My dad was a bit of a hoarder - never throw anything away as it might come in useful one day was what he said. Now my mum has been left with everything to throw, gradually.

Yes , that's how he is too ...mostly tools and diy stuff ....but I refuse to let him do it indoors ...although his bedside cabinets and  his wardrobe are pretty full I'm the opposite

Exactly the same as my dad - it's a male Yorkshire thing.
