I couldn’t get in Has the switch happened El ? Anyway , thanks for the heads up ....I’ll give it a whirl

Yes, the switch has happened

Yes , I’ve just noticed the new blurb at the bottom of the page

Baz

Thanks Baz

I'm recording the episode to watch some time. At present I know that there are 3 contestants. They have to reinvent 2 dishes, one based on strawberries and one on hot dogs. The results won't look like a strawberry dish or a hot dog. One of the contestants then leaves. The other two are then assigned to create a special birthday meal.

I don't know at present if one of the two leaves with one to go forward to a later episode or if one of them is declared the winner with each episode a different set of three contestants. There are only 6 episodes so not many. I'm guessing that Bake Off - Stand up to Cancer will start after Crazy Delicious ends.

Yes...you were spot on

Baz

Got round to watching it. More style than substance so an inconsequential programme. Adam won in case those who gave up wanted to know the result.

Jayde Adams, the presenter, was attempting to emulate presenters of Bake Off in particular but failed and just came across as inconsequential. If Channel 4 is thinking of getting her as Sando Toksvig's replacement that would be a huge mistake.

There has been criticism by viewers of portraying the judges as food gods with some saying it's theologically wrong. Actually the producers are referencing the gods of Greek mythology, nothing to do with the Bible. The judges seemed to be wearing similar clothing to the various gods in the 1981 version of Clash of the Titans. The prize of a golden apple is again based on Greek myths - there are vatious legends with golden apples including one of Hercules's tasks.
