it's strange when I lived in Manchester I started losing my accent and since I have been back it's come back again 

 I've been up here for nearly 34 years....and in Hampshire for nearly two decades before that....but never lost my accent  

I've been here for 56 years and never lost mine either

I phoned the window guy on Thursday....he says he hasn't forgotten, he's looking at stripped out windows coming in so he can get the locks off them. I could be waiting years    I'm gonna ring someone else

you've not got much of an accent to start with  When I first started working in sales we were BT trained for large switchboards and they said it was important to keep your accent and not talk with a BBC announcers voice

I get them out the local newspaper and there's not that many advertise

 Yes, I worked for BT for a couple of years when I first came up here .....directory enquiries ......funny thing was we were dealing with the London area  I used to have to 'translate'  on a regular basis

I live up here and deal with northerners and I still have to ask peeps in our office to translate

Personally I think he's being very fair, he could say he couldn't get one and rip you off. He's obviousley trying to save you money if the window is good

Yes but I need one now.....I have a towel on my bathroom windowsill in case the wind blows the rain the wrong way   window is partially open and partially closed and the bloody draught's howling through
