yes - I did look at the black and decker one and the karcher one but this one seemed the best - I didn't want to be adding solutions to make it smell nicer either - and it can be used on the lowest setting on laminate which was a big thing for me because I have a lot of laminate and there's an attachment for you to run it over rugs and carpets - won't clean them but it does refresh them
