Noticed and incident in the Columbia v Uruguay game. Corner by Columbia. Player kicks it a couple of feet and runs off. Another Columbian player goes towards the area with the ball and refs assistant blows up. Surely that corner was legal and so the ball was in play????

I remember it, but can't remember the circumstances around it. Without research I would say he meant it as he had time to defend the ball using other techniques. However I may be proved wrong
