I've been on holiday recently, so maybe I've missed it too, but your post was the first I've heard of this. ( though I'm aware that her health was not good.)

I knew she was in poor health, too, and that she hadn't been on recently, but never suspected. That IS a shock.

I remember Cologne's absence being noted during BB, and of course there was some concern because it was known that her health wasn't good, but I wasn't aware of any actual news. I was still half-expecting her to bounce back onto the forum at some point...

 

OMG.

 

Cologne is the reason I started posting back here - I have been wondering lately how she is.

 

How very sad - we had renowned run ins over the years - both very opinionated people but I was incredibly fond of her, I feel incredibly saddened by this news.

That's sad news - I think Col always knew she wouldn't make old bones.. and said as much a few times, but somehow you just don't really believe it do you and it's still a shock.     Thanks for telling us Joe.

I've just been reading some of my PM's with Cologne. She had such different and often difficult life. She often had a unique way of viewing things - they often differed greatly from mine.

 

I'm so glad we made our peace and became 'forum friends'.

 

So very, very sad.

I enjoyed her stories about her kittens. She was crazy about them! 

cologne-my adversary, we could argue about a banana skin if we wanted to,we've proper had our moments-then we we're nice to each other, i think we both couldnt handle that

but in all fairness she always seemed a very proud lady

cologne was a one off. A different thinker and I loved her for it. Over the years, cologne and I have talked many times on the telephone. She was giggler.

 

She couldn`t get through telling a story without giggling. She had an adorable childlike quality about her. I`ll remember her with great affection.

Col, you were the spirit of the forum to me so many times.  Thoughtful but sometimes very argumentative in the best thought provoking and sometimes very irritating way.  I know how ill you have been and how you saw my own health issues in a very supporting way.  Peace and love my friend.
