I'm with Baz ... the day after New Year's day this year. Tbh, if you take them down earlier you have to clean. So ... Maybe they will still be up in June!!

I used to put danglies and chains on the ceiling. I don't any more as I'm not so good with heights now    It didn't used to bother me but it's all I can do to stand on the ladders to change the light bulb 

I just put an odd few bits around the fireplace + the tree

I think it will come as a massive shock to FM's, but I have chosen option 4 too. 

Not itching to... but I looked at the tree today and thought I might just go for it then and there.   I didn't though - I usually like to have the tree still in situ for new year's eve, and like a few of you I'll take it down on the 2nd.    I've not been totally happy with the tree this year though (does anyone else get like that - good years and bad years?)  so it might go before New Year this year.

I should add that choosing not to decorate my house and have a tree is partly my way of protecting the environment and cutting down on waste.
