Looking like it atm
The main looks good,I would eat that

Baz posted:I like Johns presentation
It is good
I think this is far more simple than spencers and not particularly complicated
See.....simple custard tart. In any other round that wouldn't have got through

Meaty and fishy together....not for me π±
Baz posted:Pudding is very simple though
Johns is something even I would attempt-spencers wasn't
Sprout posted:See.....simple custard tart. In any other round that wouldn't have got through
Exactly ...they would have said it was too simple
TBH, Martin's doesn't appeal to me really, but over the rounds......

Could have had a soggy bottom...and too little nutmeg

tbh -I think his cooking was simple and didn't show skills anybody couldn't acquire

Between him and Spencer....but they seem to favour Jon
Two hours for a custard tart.....bloody hell, I'm sure I could do that and I'm no chef/cook

How about.....in the next series....we have no 'stories' and they're judged on their cooking only
Sprout posted:Two hours for a custard tart.....bloody hell, I'm sure I could do that and I'm no chef/cook
It used to take my mother ages and hers took some beating
Sprout posted:How about.....in the next series....we have no 'stories' and they're judged on their cooking only
They all did very well
Whatever....
Thanks for the company, everyone.
All three finalists were good, so not bothered that Jon won when Martin boobed, didn't want Spencer to win

My mumβs passing to winning @MasterChefUK was exactly one year to the day. I definitely had an angel on my shoulder for that final cook! The whole experience was healing for me. Cooking the food from my past has helped me to live in the present.. what a gift.

As I said....how about we take 'emotions' out of it. A lot of peeps have gone through traumatic episodes in their lives but don't feel the need to mention it

Thanks for that, El.
Whilst Iβm not a fan of sob stories on competitive reality shows and I really wanted Martin to win, youβd need to have a swinging brick for a heart to not appreciate how devastated Jon was by his motherβs death and how winning Masterchef has given him a much needed lift.
I fell asleep last night and caught up with it today. I think Spencer should have got it on the night, but they were all fab and would all have been a deserving winner

Yes ...tbh I canβt see that a slice of egg custard tart and a hot pot were pushing the boundaries much
