I'm reallllllyyyy struggling with my maths homework, so I was wondering if anyone can help me at all?
It's question 1a) and 5a) and b) that I'm stuck on! Any help would be greatly appreciated

I know right? I NEED HER.
. It's strange how the 3 most famous lettered numbers in maths can be put together like that and come up with -1.
Mr C is busy cooking at the moment, but he's a whizz with maths these days after spending 3 weeks helping Master C revise for his maths gcse (not the same level I know, but he might be able to help).
Ducky is here.....but is struggling to write the Maths out without the necessary symbols or an easy way to represent fractions on here. 
Seattle....sort it out! 
I've posted my attempt in The Ship Ickle......if it's not enough to help I will write the solution out and take a photo and post it. My grasp of technology isn't at the same standard as my Maths I'm afraid.

Who is James.
James is the fella who set up the ship, I think you have to go to live cloud and click on the ship to access it.
James was already on live cloud when us Brits landed.

No groups any more. They evolved into other forums.
James has taken part im Hoochie's MMs. He's also known as Jack O'Neil.
When we were given GaGa, various 'Groupee' sites moved to Live Cloud. James came from one of them.
James has been to Seattle and has met our hosts in person!
Adendum: I'm a member there myself, but don't visit very often these days.

Just to be very very clear though.....it's not a secret group! It's always been open to all,and mentioned frequently over here since day one.
It was set up when we first came over, all excited, and were all agog at the new features at our disposal (Any one remember the blogging days?)
There were a few Americans over there too at first but we frightened them all away in the end.
