They did but that is the normal way of conducting themselves in Nigeria. I lived there because my husband was a chemist working for Blue Circle Cement and seconded to the country. The ppl are lovely, but they're up against nasties of the highest order. We were stopped by these bandits several times and the only thing that saved us was the company we were attached to.

I think this is the result of  weak and corrupt government, in a wealthy society, which Nigeria was, only a very few enjoyed the benefits.Dissatisfaction caused a vacuum and in comes the nutters to take advantage.

 

I see a video of the  girls has been released, and negotiations, which have been rejected(as far as we know) to exchange them for the release of prisoners.
