Although I shop at M&S I've never tried those sweets, my sweets consumption is minimal

Dad has a sweet cupboard, which is generally full of all types and the top shelf of his fridge is reserved for chocolate bars...Now he says he doesn't have a sweet tooth and swears blind that it's not him when they disappear .. which is strange seeing as he lives alone

Personally I'd rather have a chunk of cheese

Re the client tax calculation I mentioned last Tuesday.

As I hadn't received it from the client I rang him just now.

Just as well I hadn't rung HMRC to complain about it. Client showed the calculation to his wife after he spoke to me. She said to him, it's not for him and it's not his address. So it's nothing to do with him.

That explains why it didn't make any sense to me
He had been going to ring me back but has been busy.
I told him to put it back in the envelope, seal it and put it in the post box so that it gets delivered to the correct address.

Good grief! that was a silly mistake on his part, which in turn could have proved embarrassing for you.
It's just as well he has a sharp eyed wife

Does that mean his post from HMRC has gone astray or was he not expecting any in the first place?

It justifies me not ringing HMRC without seeing the calculation

The only document I would expect him to get would be the tax statement for his tax to pay by the end of July. I've sent him a copy if he hasn't received it

I suppose that's similar to when football managers get sent to the stand by the ref

I don’t think I explained it very well

The guy who was red carded was the one who had come on to tend an injured player. The Americans call them ‘trainers.’

He got into an ongoing fight amongst several players from both sides. He stated pushing and shoving the opposition team’s players. That when he was red carded. Sorry, I should have explained it better the first time

That's very bad of him, not surprised he was red carded

Handy for getting around the traffic on the roads.
Not so handy for a leisurely trip on the river though...prefer the luxury of the narrowboat.
Being able to walk about and spend a penny

There's also the point that Tewkesbury is one of those places which gets floods. That's where the rivers Severn and Avon merge. (the Warwickshire river Avon rather than the Bristol one)

By the way I haven't found any photos or Youtube clips which showed all the 5 planers in the conjunction a few days ago which warrant posting. The ones I've found are either fake or only show some of the planets. The best one I've found was:

which shows Saturn, then Jupiter, then Mars, then the crescent Moon, but one can't see Venus or Mercury would would have been to the left of the Moon.

A puzzle for you El
There are four women depicted in the following picture...can you spot them?

AAYSAK4

I've only just seen your post as you, Moonie and I were all posting at the same time

I saw this optical illusion a few days ago. Although I can see the most obvious one, the very tiny one and the very large one, I cannot identify the fourth one unless only her nose and lips are apparent rather than the complete face,

Apparently only 2% of people are capable of seeing all four so Moonie is in that 2%
