I'm back earlier than I had expected from seeing my clients. A neighbour has borrowed a trailer for a few days and has it attached to his car, I've popped round to see him to mention that he could get into a spot of trouble as the number plate at the back of the trailer is different to that of the car.
Just look at the overview and the second page on rules for number plates on this link on the DVLA site:

He didn't know about this, and there's a policewoman who lives down the road and frequently walks past.
