And how's PB this week?

I'm watching Pocahontas! She's my favourite Disney princess. I haven't seen it for years and I recorded it the other day

So long as you didn't squash her.

PB is coming tomorrow. She is going to 'drive' the trolley in Morrisons for me.

I am looking forward to watching all the Disney films again when PB is older.

Yeeeeeeeeey! A PB day

It's cuddddddddddddddddles time

I hope she has passed her supermarket trolley test. They can be really tricky to drive

She is a very good driver, although she has quite a unique style. She likes to swing her legs about - a bit like when you are swimming and doing the breast stroke.

a typical woman driver then Yogi? *runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnns very very fast indeed*

ROFL

I'll explain the really obscure link between the series Penny Dreadful and the advert with Clement Freud.

The title of the series is based on a range of Victorian writing which were called Penny Dreadfuls which were a sort of precursor to comic books etc.
One of the most popular characters which came from that was Sexton Blake who was a lesser equivalent to Sherlock Holmes. Quite a few films were made and there was a television series made in the late 60s which had Laurence Payne as Sexton Blake. The series is lost so there are no DVDs available but fragments of the first story exist.

Sexton Blake had an assistant called Tinker and a bloodhound called Pedro.

This short clip shows them:

Although more then one bloodhound was used for the series they also were Henry in the Chunky adverts. I did say the connection was obscure and I have a little clue when I said that some detective work would be needed

El Loro

Good morning everyone, a lovely morning here, no rain!  I am making the most of it.  My grandson was such a help to me yesterday, his arm is nearly back to normal, it's quite amazing.  As well as helping get rid of the boiler he gave the plants in the pond a trim and a tidy up, including the water lilies.  I gave the pond a good hard look while he was working and decided that one huge clump of tall lilies, not water lilies, was not needed so he whipped it out for me and what a difference it has made.  Suddenly the pond is opened up and looking beautiful, I am ordering fish next week

EL that was really really obscure, I somehow think we are not your ideal target audience

I hope the sun shines on everyone today, enjoy your day peeps - launch night, I wonder whether we will like any of the victims contestants?

Very true. I was way off track.

Your grandson is a great lad, and I'm really pleased for him that his shoulder is healing so well.

It could have been awkward, explaining that a one year old was driving the trolley.
