How's Kiera & Harvey lately?

Ah, tactics to get a game of 'chase me'.

They are both good, thanks. Harv had an upset tummy last week and was sick once, but then he was fine.

Good morning, everyone. Weather is dry and bright.

Summer, enjoy your walk with Bramble and SiL.

So long as the weather doesn't change, we are taking PB to one of the big parks near us. It has play areas, a large pond and a little nature corner with birds and small animals, so it will keep PB amused for a while.

Have a good day, everyone. See you later.

Yogi19

Good morning everyone

Another lovely sunny day here

Summer, I hope you, Bramble and SIL have a lovely walk today.

Yogi, I hope you have a nice PB day. Pittville Park in Cheltenham sounds a bit like the park you are hoping to go to. It's on both sides of a main road. On one side is the boating lake, on the other side is the play area and a nature corner (at least there was when I was last there which is a long time ago).

Good morning

Lovely sunny day here. First line of washing out Washer full just set in motion

Sweet, I hope you have a lovely walk with Bramble and your SiL Make sure Bramble doesn't eat anything she shouldn't

Yogi, I hope the weather stays fine and you are able to take PB to the park. She will love the animals and birds Don't forget to get plenty of cuddles so your cuddleometer is full to bursting point

El and Squiggle, have a great day both

Back later

Moonie

Good morning everyone, a lovely bright morning again   Well done on getting such a lot done in the garden yesterday moonie, sounds like hard work.  Enjoy your walk Summer with SIL and Bramble.

Yogi have a great time at the park, will you be doing this?

whatever you do I hope PB has a lovely time and of course then you will too.

I couldn't remember EL, is your brother coming for Easter?  I hope it's a great day today whatever you're up to.

I've watered my new plants, am busy planning where they should all go.  A bit of housework to do then relax I hope.

Enjoy your day everyone

squiggle

Squiggle, I came down with a stomach bug yesterday and rang my brother to suggest he didn't come here for Easter in case he caught anything from me. I'm a bit better than I was yesterday. My brother has his library leaving do next week and it would be very awkward if he had to rearrange that because of cathcing something from me,

(apologies to Oscar Hammerstein)

Brilliant! Take a bow!

When I heard the news on the radio about the escaped rhea which nobody has been able to catch yet, the first line of the chorus in the song came to mind. I had a quick look at the lyrics and the above is the result. The fourth line needed no change as it fitted.

evening all

Aaaaw squiggle your duck feeding smiley is superb!

El, your poor thing I hope you're keeping hydrated and can rest up while you recover. Get well soon

Yogi I'm glad you've had a lovely day, how was PB?

Moonie, I dried some washing on the line today too

We've had a lovely walk, the scenery was beautiful and SIL broke in her new walking boots successfully
~Sparkling Summer~

I'm glad you enjoyed your walk, Summer. Was the weather nice for you?

PB was fine, and enjoyed her trip to the park and a quick trip to Tesco. She loves being in the trolley and swings her legs and sings and jiggles about, as we go round the shop.

DiL said PB hadn't slept well last night - maybe another tooth on the way? She started to get a wee bit grumpy in the half hour before DiL arrived, but that was because she isn't allowed a nap at that time (otherwise she won't go to bed until very late) and she obviously fancied a kip.

Is DIL trying to make sure she sleeps through the night?

Yes the weather was perfect; partially sunny, warm and dry. I had good views and the ground wasn't wet or muddy

She's been sleeping through the night for ages but she wouldn't go down until 10pm (ish). DiL has been trying to get her to go to bed a bit earlier, therefore no naps after her dinner at night.

It's so good when you get decent weather for a walk. Did Bramble enjoy herself?

What are you up to tomorrow? Will you have visitors over Easter?

A dip in the stream was a good plan.

Grocery shopping tomorrow and some ironing.

I ought to see middle son and DiL on Friday or Saturday. Youngest son said he might pop up on Saturday and Dil said she and eldest son and PB would pop in on Sunday.

What are your plans for Easter?

Yogi19

Good morning, everyone. Weather is wet and windy.

El, I hope you are feeling better today.

On BBC Breakfast, they were discussing ways to encourage teenagers, particularly boys, to read more. I found it depressing when one woman said that reading is seen as 'educational' rather than something to do for pleasure. I can't imagine a life without books/my kindle app.

Grocery shopping and ironing are on today's To Do list.

Have a good day, everyone.

Yogi19

Good morning everyone

I am feeling better now than I was Thanks everyone

It's blue sky here at present but it's forecast to cloud over by late morning. Friday and Saturday are forecast to be sunny here but the weather changes later on Sunday and becomes unsettled. So for people who want to go out over the Easter break, tomorrow and Saturday are looking a lot better than Sunday and Monday. (but the Met Office could be wrong )

Ros, I agree that the rising use of foodbanks is a worrying problem. The situation for people who need foodbanks would be a lot worse if there were no foodbanks. The Trussell Trust is based on this:

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Matthew 25:35-36

El Loro

Good morning everyone, a little bit grey here this morning disappointingly.  It is especially disappointing if we are to get rain over the Bank Holiday Weekend for all those people who have been at work during the recent lovely weather.

A wonderful organisation The Trussell Trust (my maiden name by the way) as in Trussell not Trust   With the cheering news on the TV last night that wages are now rising faster than inflation hopefully it is an improving situation for working people.  It has been a long haul but hopefully we are turning the corner.

Enjoy your day everyone

squiggle

Hi everyone

Sunny but very windy here. Not much gonna get done today

Yogi, glad your cuddleometer is topped up and that PB enjoyed her trip to the park. The swings are always a favourite *imagines PB riding in the shopping trolley jiggling her legs and singing*

Sweet, glad you enjoyed your walk with your SiL and Bramble. Hope she didn't eat anything she wasn't supposed too

Bramble! norty gal. Rolling in stuff you shouldn't

El, pleased to see you're feeling better now

Squiggle, hope the weather improves for you

Have a great day everyone

I love that they've named the new moon, "Peggy".

What I find extraordinary is that, as the rings and main moons of Saturn are thought to be about 4 billion years old, astonomers are potentially witnessing the birth of a new (though very small) moon in our lifetime.
