Just watching on Sunday catch-up!.

The 1980's was my favourite decade. So much of that was familiar to me. I did not like the transition into the 1990's.

Enjoyed the show. Probably more so that I am seeing and learning things about my city through the decades. Next weeks looks interesting, probably the round-up show.

If you have £248,000 to spare, you can own the corner shop, and maybe, just maybe, breathe life into the shop and enjoy a never ending stream of grateful customers .

I preferred the much earlier decades showing how the corner shop was so much more than a convenience store.

It was the heart of the community - was nice to see how it brought people together

Me too Renton

Ditto

My English was quite poor there. What I meant was my favourite decade generally was the 1980's, not really specifically about this programme.

These types of programme have interest all the way through for me. I learn something each decade.

Hi all.

No one fancy taking over this shop then?

Depends on the period

Today: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/co...operty-89427704.html

I doubt you would want to do it these days, despite the fact they are probably doing great business during C-19.

They are spending millions building a new Chinese Quarter in Sheffield. I can't wait as I love Chinese food.

How is the present climate affecting them EC?

That is an ironic comment from the lad.

They seem to be open as they are food shops and the Chinese are in large numbers and using the shops. Feels like the opening hours for some shops are less. I'm noticing more food and other items back on shelves. I think people are starting to be sensible.

Sheffield has the third highest identified cases in the country. Birmingham at No.1 spot.

This is definitely a style of shopping that has to be done at a quieter time.
