In a way Rog, it's not the man, it's the family I totally feel sorry for, at least he knows it was instant,  it's the friends and family that know the way he died and are still here. My heart goes out to them

So true Sprout

It's not instant. From the picture (i haven't seen the video), they're using a kitchen type knife.

It's absolutely barbaric.

Well said Sez

It's not easy to avoid the pictures, that's true.  I think the majority on Twitter are agreed that viewing any video link is a no-no.  Fortunately there are lots of photos coming through of David with his family.

That said....Twitter and Social Networks like them should be on this like  a ton of bricks and get this crap off their pages!

How though Col?   I hate the thought of 'War'  but if this is the only way to stop these swines, then so be it

Good intel and very good aim from the air. Not just once or twice, but sustained for a week. That should cut their numbers.

I'm sorry to say Sprout but it's not always

It knocks me sick to the stomach when I hear of this, it's not the quick guillotine but hacked with some sword/knife.

I remember years ago and Ken Bigley and some sick individual watched it in the office I worked, I walked past and glanced, but I will never forget the split second of what I saw. Truly horrible.

Sprout, I agree, it's the family knowing after what the person went through, because after so many cuts the person would thankfully go in to shock.

I wish that I had kept the article and I would have to subscribe to read it again. But Dominic Lawson's article in the Sunday Times a couple of weeks ago was as good an analysis I have seen.
Try googling the following and see what you can find........

These beheaders aren’t jihadists, they’re the cast of A Clockwork Orange

these cowards can't get to their supposed enemy of Islam so they choose an easy target, grandstanding on the world stage enjoying the revulsion it's causing

I read somewhere and I can't for the life of me say where it was but a lot of these Western 'jihadis' are fed up with the life over there - they thought they were going to be fighting Assad, but have ended up fighting other Islamic factions so they're pulling the 'I don't want to kill other Muslims' so much so the more extreme within IS are holding them captive and could possibly behead them for not carrying out their pledge to uphold IS beliefs.

Sooner or later it will all implode but how many more poor souls will die until that happens
