Morning All Wave

Your weather for today ...

Currently 11ΒΊC

Headline:
Dry with sunshine for most today, showers in the north-west.

Today:
Much of the UK will see a dry day with some good spells of sunshine and feeling warm. However, scattered heavy and thundery showers are likely in north-west Scotland. Cloudy and misty on some north-east coasts and cooler here too.

Tonight:
Showers gradually dying away in the north-west. A mainly dry night then with clear spells. Low cloud and mist in the north-east will spread westwards with drizzle in places.

Thursday:
A cloudy start for many but this will burn back to north-east coasts through the day. Elsewhere dry with sunny spells. The odd isolated thundery shower in the south-west.

Hi Zaphod wavey – is it possible to get accurate UK weather predictions for say, the next month?

I need to take some leave and would prefer to take it when it's boiling so I can hide in my cool house but I have to give 5 day’s notice so It would be great if I could find out when it might be really hot.

(really hot is anything above 17ΒΊC to me).

Ta in advance...

Hi bunny... have a mooch around this met office site ... http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/we...orecast_weather.html ... to see if there is anything long range

30 day weather forecasts do tend to be a bit hit and miss though

UK Outlook for Monday 29 Jun 2009 to Wednesday 8 Jul 2009:

Cloud and rain, some heavy is expected to reach the southwest during the day on Monday. The rest of the UK generally dry though rather cloudy in places. The best of any sunshine likely to be in the northwest. The unsettled weather is expected to affect much of western UK over the following few days with some rain or showers at times, possibly heavy. The east remaining largely dry, though a good deal of cloud at times, especially towards the coast. Temperatures away from the coast largely warm or very warm. From later next week the more unsettled weather with nearer normal temperatures will move across all areas, though parts of the south and southeast well well remain largely warm and dry through this period.
