Hey everyone-

Since we set this forum up initially (and quickly) for members of the Channel 4 community prior to its closure, I thought it was time we shared a little about ourselves.

First off, we are not affiliated with Channel 4 at all. Our company, Groupee, Inc., was providing the software and hosting for their online community. We were not handling any moderation services, however, and were not in any way involved with the day-to-day management of that community. ("Eve" is the name of one of our community services.)

We were quite sad when we learned that the Channel 4 community was closing because we knew it was a large, very active site and, having been in the online community business for over a decade, we know how attached forum members can become to their online homes.

Thus, when many of you started coming to our corporate support forums last week, we decided to open these permanent forums for you.

We're based in Seattle, Washington in the US. Our company focuses exclusively on community software, services, and strategy, with customers ranging from the very large (Mattel, Discovery Channel, etc.) to small hobby sites. Aside from providing services to other companies, we also have ambitions for running our own online communities. (We already have one- Groupee.com, a music site- and GaGaJoyJoy.com is our next.)

We'll have more about the direction of the GaGaJoyJoy.com site in the future, but regardless of the features of that site overall, these forums will always remain a vital part of it. We want you to consider this your home and will do our best to make everyone comfortable.

While no company is perfect, and certainly we are all human, rest assured that our goal with this community is to allow you to express yourself and interact with each other. All we ask is that you keep things civil and try to act the way you would in the 'real world'.

It's been a pleasure getting to know so many of you and all of us behind the scenes hope that this community can be a model that other communities can aspire to.
