I would have put here "Quiet Life" by Japan but I've put it out here so many times that it must bore so many.  Still love it, but thought I wouldn't inflict it on Japan not liking Philistines.

To be fair @Carnelian I am a big fan of Japan and never bore of your Japan posts. I too post faves a lot.

Thanks EC, IMO Japan are so underrated and now tagged as an "art rock" band!  Perhaps belittled by David Sylvian's appeal to teenage girls at the time.  Many (including my sister)  fancied DS at the time but didn't get what a great vocalist and musician he was too and a part of such a talented band. Talented musicians and with such musical experimentation.   It's a shame they split in 1982, they could have conquered the world on their own terms.

I have really enjoyed the output of DS since he went the solo route. I have not listened to Adolescent Sex and Obscure Alternatives, well, at least to the best of my knowledge. I became hooked on Japan from Quiet Life. Japan (IMO) wrote some great songs, but I wonder if the quality would have continued on, having said that, I have enjoyed the work of DS, so it may well have continued on.

What I have noticed over the years is how many projects the other members of the band have been involved in. I have many releases where an ex-Japan member pops up.

If it's possible, I would be interested in the @Carnelian top 10 Japan songs.
