I still remember the feeling of euphoria that not only I felt but it seemed the majority of the UK when Blair came into office after such a long term of Conservative sleaze etc. Personally I felt it went wrong for Blair when he believed Bush's assumption that it was right to stage war on Iraq, what that had to do with 9/ll I never did understand as I couldn't see the connection.
Blair had charisma, Brown doesn't, not that charisma means anything in the bigger picture, taking care of the country and it's people is far more important but I too don't see what benefit Brown's bought to the general public, so as a socialist I've been very disappointed, although some situations like greedy Bankers and Financial institutions were probably outside of his control
