I have to admit that I do wonder why there is so much hype about this . So far , like you say, it sounds like a virulent flu strain ....which is constantly changing , and which we get every year ...but I’m wondering what they aren’t telling us . As someone in the high risk category, I switch between blind panic and common sense 
I have to admit I’ve stocked up on dettol wipes etc...and I’ve always been overly cautious about hand washing.....but the bottom line is what will be , will be ....or that’s how I feel until the next newsflash
