Reply to "Hicky's Chat Room"

Evening both.
Not bad day here. Quite warm (up to 20c), and not much wind. No sign of any sunshine though.
It stayed dry until about 5pm, so I was able to get quite a bit done. The grass was still damp from yesterday's rain though.

Hicky. That was quite a haul of meat from the Butchers.
Hope your OH's family liked your produce.

My tomatoes are a bit disappointing this year. I've plenty of them, and they are big, but almost all of them are splitting and have tough skins.
It's almost certainly down to the watering, but I've been giving them water most days. Perhaps I've been giving them too much?

Yes, the HMRC site is difficult because it's a mixture of old design pages and 'beta' new pages. But it's been in beta for years.

Ah it's inside lighting you were talking about. I suppose it saves a bit of time having them on a timer system. But I just turn on the switch when I want the light on, and then turn off the switch when I leave the room. Works for me.

Mollie. Pity it was drizzly for you, but at least you got a bit of paperwork done.
I've still got last month's accounts to do, but I'm waiting for a rainy day too.

Might not have much time for housework either, unless it's rainy. I never like to do housework after dark, as it's much more difficult to see if things are clean in artificial light. That's my excuse anyway.

Bit difficult deciding on a menu for my visitors as, if it's a nice day they are going to come on motor bike, and in that case they'll want to get back home before dark, so will be leaving about 6pm.
If they come by car they'll stay till about 9pm, so will need dinner.
My thoughts are that I'll give them my home made spicy tomato soup for lunch and then maybe fish and chips at 5pm, if they are on the bike.
I haven't bought anything special in, as I didn't find out they were coming till Sunday night, and if it's dry all week I might not get the chance to go shopping before they come.
I'll play it by ear.

Really disliking Natalie and Sally. They seem to be targetting Hardeep for no good reason.
I think Natalie thinks that if she stirs things up the public will keep her in.
