Yes, my Uncle turns 86 this year as well. He's having trouble with his feet at the moment, so not as active physically, but still as sharp as ever.
I'm not going down this year. Every two years is plenty for me, for such a long trip.
I think I'll consider wearing a mask and gloves to apply weedkiller. And next time I buy some I'll see if there's any realistic alternative to Glyphosate.
