glad you got a bit of grass cutting done and the late payer eventually paid up. I guess the grass will take a long time to grow again this year as it has been execeptionally dry. An expert on tv said those who water grass are just wasting water as the grass will come good as soon as we have a good amount of rain as the roots of the grass are fine. It is just the grass at the surface that goes temporary yellow when it is very dry. (I suspect you already knew that though).
that is a clever machine that reads the amount on the cheque. Like you I prefer a person, but it is all about cutting back on staff now unfortunately.

Sounds like you are going to have plenty of figs to come.
Hope you can sort the boiler out so it doesn't play up when you go away. After the winter we had last time, you can never tell how cold it is going to get.
Collected our purchases from the auction today. I have a nice blue blue and chiffon lace dress, got 2 divan bases as the family's single beds were old and rickety. Piad £90 for both, and they are John Lewis ones normally sold for £299 each. OH just had to give them a wipe as they were dusty and fix a drawer on one of them but now they are good as new. OH also got a plastci step for our back as it is too steep from through the patio doors for me and the dog both !
Went shopping in asda too.
Had some badly needed rain today, but it cleared by afternoon. Temperatures were a lot more pleasant, around 22 highest.
Watching Love Island.Getting a bit bored of it now though.
