The man who built Heather Mills' prosthetic leg has tipped her to go all the way and win the current series of Dancing on Ice, says a report.

Prosthetic expert Bob Watts has said he believes that the former model only needs the support from the public to help her to take the crown.

Mills commissioned Watts to build a special carbon fibre limb especially for use on the ice dance contest.

Watts told the Bournemouth Echo: "She has so much courage to really drive herself and she is very focused. She started a couple of months ago and that was the first time she had skated.

"I saw her on Sunday night and her progress is phenomenal.

"If she keeps that up over the next six weeks she has every chance of winning. It all depends on whether the public get behind her."

Melinda Messenger recently praised Heather's skating debut on last week's show.

Melinda said on Live From Studio Five: "I wasn't particularly a fan of hers and I didn't hate her either. But when I saw her skate, I had complete respect for the woman.

"She's got guts, she's completely brave to do something that is so technically difficult.

"It's so hard, it's one of the hardest things you can do because you have to balance so precisely, you have to move your ankle a certain way, so it's beyond me how she's actually physically able to do it."
