Some time this autumn Channel 4 intend to have a new series of Great Canal Journeys.

Sadly, it was inevitable that Prunella Scales would not be able to carry on. Although Timothy West will be in the first episode of the new series, he's handing over to the new presenters who are Sheila Hancock and Gyles Brandreth who are good friends.
