he hurt it years ago and it hasnt been the same since, it goes purple and scabs up, he has to soak it and put cream on
every now and again he has a trip to the quacks cos it flares up bad again, it looks awful

My dad's looks a lot sorer than hers, but yes it does look like that, not sure if that is the diagnosis though
