And now for quite a find. This is a 1963 filmed version of Bela Bartok's opera "Herzog Blubarts Burg" = "Bluebeard's Castle" and is about an hour long. It's in German but there are English subtitles.

The lead singer is Norman Foster who produced the film privately.

It's very unlikely that you've ever heard of it or seen it, it's probably never been shown on television and it's not available on Amazon.

But right at the end is the name of who directed it - and that's why this is quite a find.
