Back from church. I trudged there and back as walking was clearly going to be as quick as getting the car in a condition to drive. There's a bit of thawing now as it's just above freezing.
My estimate of the amount of snow is 7 cm, so about 2¾ inches. It's wet snow rather than the dry snow we got with the previous Beast. Squiggle, that's probanly why it appears to me more as wet snow takes up more room than powdery dry snow.
The 10.40 am train from Gloucester to Cheltenham was cancelled because of the snow though the 11.42 am train was shown as still on. Just to give you an idea as to the fact that this Beast has caused serioius disruption, worse than expected.
