The Gloucester fire services have issued a warnng to businesses about an attempted scam by someone rinigng businesses. The scammer is claiming to be from the Gloucester fire services and is wanting people to advertise in their (non-existent) magazine.
Although a local scam I know that this scam has been going on for years on a national basis. Over the years I've had that type of call. The last time I was called by someone called Ron. I told him that I knew this was a con and he actually admitted this ans told me that in their office he was called "Ron the con".
