There's two episodes that immediately spring to mind - both TNG.

The one where Picard is taken to live a life on a planet that has died so that they are not forgotten - where he gets his little flute.

The one where every man's perfect female is brought on board to be taken to her marriage with the head of another race. She chooses to bond with Picard "Jean Luc Picard I am for you"

I could perfectly understand her choice
